The Proteus family of Bluetooth Low Energy modules support a peripheral only mode, also called transparent mode, that supports a serial cable replacement by offering a transparent UART bridge functionality. This document explains, how to set the module into the corresponding operation mode and how to establish a connection to the connection partner which is required to be a device in BLE Central Role.
