This application note describes how to set up a connection between one of the Bluetooth Low Energy Modules of the Proteus family and a Bluetooth Low Energy enabled smart device like a smart phone and how to exchange data in-between them. The Proteus module is controlled and configured by the host using UART commands, while the smart device is using the nRF Connect App, an open source App providing standard Bluetooth Low Energy functions for iOS and Android devices.
