PCBs with immersion silver in new fresh packaging

Freshness. Do you normally associate fruits, vegetables or the like with it? Then soon, that list of associations will see a new addition: Würth Elektronik printed circuit boards with immersion silver surface.

Thanks to the new packaging solution- the INTERCEPT® film - you will never have seen silver printed circuit boards as fresh as these before.

This black film is not just an ordinary film, it protects printed circuit boards from long-term corrosion and environmental infl uences during both transport and storage, thus maintaining their freshness.
Würth Elektronik will be shipping from now on all chemical silver surface printed circuit bards in the new STATIC INTERCEPT® anti-corrosion film - being the first to use this new packaging technology.

How it works:

The STATIC INTERCEPT® film consists of highly reactive copper particles bonded in a matrix. By reacting with surrounding elements which would normally trigger corrosion, they clean the atmosphere within the packaging. These elements are bonded permanently, resulting in a neutralized atmosphere which protects all the materials contained within from corrosion and ageing through environmental influences.
