This presentation was part of our virtual conference (26-29 Apr): WE meet @ Digital Days 2021 As the electrical vehicles gain diffusion in the automotive market, the battery charging is a building block of such an eco-system. In addition, the smart grid implementation is asking for smart energy availability, resulting in the need of smart and energy aware battery charger. The presentation will provide an insight of charging station front-end, which represents the smart interface to the grid with energy management capability, with a focus on high frequency and high efficiency applications based on SiC technology and digital control techniques. In particular, a 3 level T-type converter will be introduced.
