Würth Elektronik ICS Nominated for Daimler Supplier Award 2014

Daimler AG presents their suppliers with the Supplier Award 2014. Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG was one of the finalists. This award pays tribute to, among other topics, the high level of innovation of the electron-ics company.

The Daimler Supplier Award is a coveted trophy among the suppliers of Daimler AG. For 2014, Würth Elektronik ICS GmbH & Co. KG was a nominee in the “Global Procurement Trucks and Buses” category and among the top three final-ists in the Innovation category. With its Daimler Supplier Network cooperation model, Daimler AG is focusing on performance and partnership. The Daimler Supplier Awards evaluate these based on criteria such as quality, delivery relia-bility, innovative strength and open communication.
In his speech, Dr. Marcus Schoenenberg, Head of Global Procurement Trucks and Buses, honored the outstanding performance of the company. “Würth El-ektronik ICS has shown an impressive capability to translate innovation directly into better costs. A current example is their unique SKEDD connection. Very good job Würth Elektronik – please go on this way – we need you!”
Over 450 guests from the supplier industry attended the ceremony held at the Mercedes-Benz Centre in Stuttgart on 26th February 2015, including the CEO of Würth Elektronik ICS, Albrecht Faber, who accepted the certificate as a nominee for the Daimler Supplier Award 2014. “We understand the acknowledgement as both praise and encouragement. Our heartfelt thanks go out to our employees, as they have made it possible for us to obtain this prestigious award from Daim-ler AG,” said the CEO of Würth Elektronik ICS.
