Würth Elektronik ICS to Exhibit at Agritechnica 2019
When agricultural technology experts from all over the world come together in Hanover, Germany, from 10 to 16 November 2019, Würth Elektronik ICS will also be there again to present innovative system solutions for power distribution, signal transmission and the control, display and operation of functions in agricultural machinery. At Agritechnica at booth B47 in hall 17, Würth Elektronik ICS will present the REDline Power Boxes, which enable individual power distributors to be developed quickly as a modular platform. The company will also introduce a new solution for power distribution in electric and hybrid vehicles – the HV PDU 600.
REDline Power Boxes are platform-based power distribution solutions for mobile machines. They are characterized by a short time-to-market, high cost-effectiveness, modularity and a convincing service concept. The modular platform covers a range of basic requirements relating to power and signal distribution as well as the installation situation. Three new REDline Power Boxes – Twin, M Plus and Mini – will be presented at Agritechnica.
Würth Elektronik ICS has developed a solution for the distribution of power up to 600 Volts and 200 Amperes for electric and hybrid vehicles. It enables the electrical connection between the battery, the on-board charger, the motor and other consumers such as the heater, the DC-DC converter and so on. The combination of Powerelements, PCBs and busbars, as well as thermally and mechanically stable press-fit connections allows the optimal integration of HV/high current components. The new HV Power Distribution Unit enables the secure connection with HV-Interlock connectors and also eliminates the majority of the hard shielded cables.
“Issues such as digitalization, e-mobility and the shortening of development cycles are becoming increasingly more relevant for manufacturers in the agricultural machinery industry. But it’s still important for our customers to receive robust yet cost-effective solutions,” explains Jean-Baptiste Delcroix, Product Manager at Würth Elektronik ICS. “Würth Elektronik ICS has a range of platform-based solutions in its portfolio such as the REDline Power Boxes and WEcabin Displays to meet this requirement. This allows us to offer robust, durable solutions for power distribution, control and the display and operation of functions with short development times and a high cost effectiveness.”
