B.A.U.S. AT relies on components from Würth Elektronik ICS for ambulances

B.A.U.S. AT, a renowned manufacturer of rescue vehicles, is equipping its ambulances for the international market with power distributors and displays from Würth Elektronik ICS. These components make it possible to optimally meet the different requirements and standards of various countries.

 

The following solutions from Würth Elektronik ICS were used:
 

Power distributor in solid press-fit technology:

  • Mechanically very robust, vibration-resistant and durable
  • Low contact resistance and little heating
  • Easy and quick installation and maintenance
  • Reduced cable harness

  • For controlling lamps, fans and heating
  • Advanced microprocessor
  • Optional equipment with buttons, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and sensors possible
  • Fast booting and intuitive operation
  • High connectivity with freely definable CAN communication structure
  • Easy programming without specialist knowledge

 

B.A.U.S. AT plans to further expand its cooperation with Würth Elektronik ICS, particularly in the area of customer-specific power distribution boards. A further development of the power distribution board for the French market is currently being driven forward in close cooperation between the two companies.

Extensive test phase

The installed products were tested in the prototype phase according to the following criteria:

•          Electromagnetic compatibility and electrical load according to EMC ISO 13766, ISO 16750-2, ISO 14982

•          Water resistance according to IP66 ISO 20653

•          Salt spray resistance according to ISO 9227

•          Vibration & shock according to ISO 16750-3

•          Chemical resistance according to ISO 16750-5

•          Temperature according to ISO 16750-4
