Efrain Bernal-Alzate holds a graduate degree in Electronics Engineering since 2003. In 2008 he gained his Master of Science degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering. Efrain was a scientific staff member of the German Institute of Energy Conversion and Storage (EWS) at Ulm University between 2011 and 2015. Before and after that period he teached as an associate professor at La Salle University in Bogotá, Colombia. Efrain worked as well as a consultant in the fields industrial automation, Internet of Things, and renewable energy. He received his doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from Ulm University in 2017. Efrain was Technology director for an EPC company in Colombia until 2021. Since 2022, he has been working as a design engineer for Würth Elektronik eiSos in Germany.
