As a practical example I will be using a Tesla Coil driver circuit that uses a Gate-Drive Transformer to control its MOSFETs. We will be finding out how the transformer works, how to use it in a circuit, how to create a DIY version and why using a commercial solution often makes more sense. Let's get started!
