The EV2935+86885 (DDR4) evaluation board is a 3-phase synchronous buck switching regulator for DDR4 application, providing Vddq output of 1.2V at 60A.This EVB utilizes the Intelli-Phase MP86885 to work with the controller MP2935, providing the 60A continuous output current for Vddq rail.This EVB highlights many benefits of using the MP2935+MP86885. The MP2935 adopts threelogic- level PWM outputs for enhanced noiseimmunity and flexible fault management.Depending on the power states set by SVID command, the multi-phase channel can switch between multi-phase and single-phase operation.MP86885 is a Monolithic IC approach to drive up to 40A per phase. Integration of the driver and the MOSFETs results in high efficiency dueto optimal dead time control and parasitic inductance reduction. It also comes with a general purpose current sense and temperature sense.The EVB datasheet provides the schematic, BOM, and test setup necessary to evaluate the board.
