Beschreibung

The MP3378 is a one-chip solution, speciallydesigned for monitor applications, whichincludes a step-up controller with 4 currentchannels for backlight and a high efficiencybuck converter for internal bus voltage orstandby power.The 4-string WLED controller drives an externalMOSFET to boost up the output voltage fromthe input supply. It regulates the current in eachLED string to the programmed value set by anexternal current setting resistor. It can supportboth analog and PWM dimming independentlyto meet the special dimming mode request. Inaddition, rich protection modes are alsointegrated including OCP, OTP, UVP, OVP,LED short/open protection, inductor/diode shortprotection.The high efficiency buck converter operates inthe current mode operation with built inMOSFET and synchronous rectifier. It offers avery compact solution to achieve excellent loadand line regulation. Full protection featuresinclude OCP and thermal shut down.The MP3378 is available in SOIC28 package.
