Beschreibung
The NCP1090GEVB and NCP1094GEVB evaluationboards are designed to showcase the features of theNCP109x series of Power-over-Ethernet interfaces. Theboards are designed as splitter interfaces, taking aPoE-enabled port as input and offering the power to aseparate connector, while passing through the data toanother Ethernet port. The schematics, gerber files andBOM of these boards are available through our website(www.onsemi.com)Basic Circuit DescriptionThe evaluation boards consist of different sections thatwill be described in detail in the next paragraphs. First, wewill discuss the input section, including selection of thecorrect connectors, magnetics and the termination for aPower-over-Ethernet enabled connection. In the nextsection we will explain the operation of the NCP109x, thedetection and classification process, and how to configurethe NCP109x for the correct power class. Finally, we willexplain how to use the UVLO support (for NCP1091 andNCP1093) or auxiliary support (for NCP1092 andNCP1094).
