ZSPM15xx family ICs are controllers designed forhigh-current, non-isolated DC/DC step-down point ofload (POL) converters. The ZSPM15xx has a digitalcontrol loop that is optimized for maximum stabilityas well as load step and steady-state performance.ZSPM15xx family ICs have a rich set of integratedfault protection features including over-voltage/under-voltage, output over-current, and over-temperatureprotections. To facilitate ease of use, theZSPM15xx is pre-programmed and available forcommon output voltages. To provide flexibility for theend-customer, the over-current protection thresholdand the control loop compensation are selectable bythe end-customer to match a number of selectedpower stages.ZSPM15xx family ICs have been optimized for maximumefficiency when used with ZMDI’s DrMOSdevices. Reference designs and application instructionsenable a high performance turnkey solutionwithout extensive engineering development.
