Characteristics
Extended EV-Kits with Thyone-I RF interface:
- Wireless host connection
- Standalone operation of the EV-Board
- Messages coming from the GNSS module are delivered via UART to the Thyone-I module on the evaluation board
- Other Thyone-I units in the area (e.g. USB radio stick included in the EV-Kit) receive the messages
- Several power options: USB, battery, external supply
- Available for all GNSS modules
Standard EV-Kit Elara-I/Erinome-I:
- The EV-Kit includes an EV-Board with the GNSS module Elara-I/Erinome-I and a USB cable.
Standard EV-Kit Elara-II/Erinome-II:
- The EV-Kit includes an EV-Board with the GNSS module Elara-II/Erinome-II, a USB cable and an active GNSS antenna. A passive GNSS antenna is integrated on the EV-Board.
Due to external factors, these components are subject to a PTN, orders are no longer possible.
Application Notes
Wireless Operation of the GNSS Evaluation Board
✓ The board provides several power options (USB, battery, external supply).
✓ Allows testing the GNSS module without cable connection between its evaluation board and the host PC.
✓ An adapted version of Thyone-I RF module is implemented. GNSS module is talking directly (without further µC) to Thyone-I.
✓ Messages coming from the GNSS module are delivered via UART to the Thyone-I module on the evaluation board.
✓ The Thyone-I module on the evaluation board broadcasts all arriving messages.
✓ Other Thyone-I units (e.g. our USB stick) in the area receive the messages.
✓ If these Thyone-I units are connected to a host PC, WENSS allows communicating with the GNSS module.
✓ Eval Board can be placed outside for evaluating in real conditions and the host is located indoor.
