Demonstration circuit 2479A-A features the LTM®4650EY,the high efficiency, high density, dual 25A, single 50Aswitch mode step-down power module regulator. Theinput voltage is from 4.5V to 15V. The output voltage isprogrammable from 0.6V to 1.8V. DC2479A-A is configuredas dual-phase, single-output, which can deliverup to 50A maximum. The board designs with minimumcomponents to demonstrate this high efficiency, highdensity μModule. As explained in the data sheet, outputcurrent de-rating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, and thermal conditions. These features and the availability ofthe LTM4650EY in a compact 16mm × 16mm × 5.01mmBGA package make it ideal for use in many high-densitypoint-of-load applications. The LTM4650 data sheet mustbe read in conjunction with this demo manual for workingon or modifying the demo circuit DC2479A-A.
