The MAX15301 is a full-featured, highly efficient, digitalpoint-of-load (PoL) controller with advanced power managementand telemetry features. Unlike PID-based digitalpower regulators, the MAX15301 uses Maxim’s patentedInTune™ automatically compensated, state-space controlalgorithm. The InTune control law is valid for both thesmall- and large-signal response and accounts for dutycyclesaturation effects. These capabilities result in fastloop transient response and reduce the number of outputcapacitors compared to competing digital controllers.
