The EVHR1203-Y-00A is a general-purposeevaluation board for the HR1203 for 240W PCand ATX power, adapters, all-in-one or gamingpower, and general AC/DC power supplyapplications.The HR1203 integrates a digital PFC controllerand a half-bridge resonant controller into asingle chip. It uses very low power at no load orultra-light load, making it compliant with EnergyUsing Product Directive (EuP) Lot 6 and Codeof Conduct Version 5 Tier 2 specifications.The PFC of the HR1203 employs a patentedaverage current control scheme, which canoperate in continuous conduction mode (CCM)and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM),according to the instantaneous condition of theinput voltage and output load. The IC exhibitsexcellent efficiency and a high power factor (PF)at light load.The half-bridge LLC converter achieves highefficiency with zero-voltage switching (ZVS).The HR1203 implements an adaptive dead-timeadjustment (ADTA) function so the LLCconverter can easily achieve ZVS from heavyload to light load. Additionally, the HR1203 canprevent the LLC converter from operating incapacitive mode, making it more robust andeasier to design.Typically, the EVHR1203-Y-00A is designed forPC and ATX power, adapters, and gamingpower applications with a 12V, 20A constantvoltage output and 240W rated power from90VAC to 265VAC and 50Hz/60Hz.The EVHR1203-Y-00A has excellent efficiencyand a high power factor for the entire loadrange. Full protection features include overloadprotection, short-circuit protection (SCP), overvoltageprotection (OVP), and anti-capacitivemode protection. The EVHR1203-Y-00A alsomeets the Class C standard of IEC61000-3-2and the EN55022 standard.
