Beschreibung

The MP8778 is a monolithic, synchronous, rectified, step-down, switch-mode converter. It offers a very compact solution to achieve a continuous 3A output current over a wide input supply range with excellent load and lineregulation. The MP8778 operates at high efficiency over a wide output current load range with an integrated 180mΩ high-side MOSFET and an integrated 75mΩ low-side MOSFET.Current mode operation provides a fast transient response and eases loop stabilization.The device also uses MPS’s proprietary Advanced Asynchronous Modulation for high efficiency at light load.Full protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown.The MP8778 is available in a thermallyenhanced PDIP8 package with exposed pad on top.
