This EVK supports a variety of pin-compatibleROHM stepper motor driver ICs from standard,microstep, low voltage and high voltage familieswith CLK-IN (clock input) or PARA-IN (parallelinput) control. They integrate PWMconstant-current drive with adjustable decay ratioand the ability for full, half and microstepping.The ICs feature single supply operation byintegrating the voltage regulator for the lowpower logic together with highly efficient DMOSoutput power stages. These do not require aninternal charge pump so the motor driversachieve low EMI performance. The motor driversintegrate various protection functions such asGhost Supply Prevention (GSP), ThermalShutdown (TSD), Over-Current Protection(OCP), Under / Over Voltage Lockout (UVLO /OVLO) high ESD resistance and Pin ShortProtection for robust and reliable operation.
