Description

EV3414A-J-00A Evaluation Board is designedto demonstrate the capability of MP3414A. TheMP3414A is a high-efficiency, synchronous,current-mode, step-up converter with outputdisconnect.The MP3414A provides inrush current limitingand output short-circuit protection. Theintegrated, P-channel, synchronous rectifierimproves efficiency and eliminates the need foran external Schottky diode. The PMOSdisconnects the output from the input when thepart shuts down.The 1MHz switching frequency allows for smallexternal components, while the internalcompensation and the soft-start minimize theexternal component count. The MP3414A isavailable in a small 8-pin TSOT23 package.
