Description

The LM5171EVM-BIDIR evaluation module (EVM) is a dual phase interleaved bidirectional converter ideal for 48-V to 12-V dual battery system applications. It is multiphase stackable with adjustable interleaving angle and balanced current sharing. The EVM also includes various jumpers to configure the circuit for many different use cases. This includes the capability of being controlled by a microcontroller or a high-power unidirectional buck or boost converter.

12-V port voltage regulated at 14.5 V with 48-V port voltage range of 6 V to 70 V in buck mode
48-V port voltge regulated at 50.5 V with 12-V port voltage range of 6 V to 48 V in boost mode
DC current (max) into or out of the 12-V port is 60 A
Built-in analog voltage loop control, with option of a microcontroller digital-voltage loop-control through interface connectors
Daisy-chain multiphase interleaved three, four, six and eight phase operation to support higher power
