Description
The PGA460-Q1 EVM evaluation module (EVM) allows users to evaluate the functionality of TexasInstruments PGA460-Q1 ultrasonic sensor-signal conditioner IC. The PGA460-Q1 is a fully integratedsystem-on-chip, analog front-end (AFE) device for ultrasonic sensing. This user’s guide describes both thehardware platform containing a sample PGA460-Q1 device, and the graphical user interface (GUI)software used to configure the functionality and diagnostics. In addition to evaluating the PGA460-Q1device, the other objective of this board is to display the ultrasonic echo profile and measurement resultsof either a transformer driven closed-top transducer or direct-driven open-top transducer when using theGUI.
Features
Compatible with ultrasonic transducers operating at a center frequency between 30-80kHz and 180-480kHz.Able to generate maximum sound pressure level using either transformer driven and direct driven methods.Access to all communication interfaces offered by the PGA460-Q1, including: USART, TCI, and One-Wire UART.Swappable daughtercard allows custom driver-type and transducer combination pair to be evaulated.Fully tested EVM includes GUI, quick start demo procedure, USB interface and firmware, and detailed user's guide.
