This reference design demonstrates a hybrid hysteretic control (HHC) method, a current-mode control method, on a half-bridge LLC stage using C2000™ F28004x microcontrollers. The hardware is based on the TIDA-010062 1kW, 80 Plus Titanium Grade, GaN CCM Totem Pole Bridgeless PFC and Half Bridge LLC Reference Design. Hybrid hysteretic control is achieved by additionally adding a proximity card to regenerate the voltage across the resonant capacitor. Compared to the single-loop voltage-mode control method (VMC), this HHC LLC stage has better transient response and easier-to-control loop design.
