Characteristics

The schematically shown circuit section shows the basic structure for an AC Power Tool with a power < 1kW, consisting of an AC filter to meet the required limits.

The main component is a rectifier, as well as an intermediate circuit consisting of one or more capacitors connected in parallel and a full bridge for controlling the DC motor. Other included functions include an internal power supply for the human interface, peripherals, sensor, etc.
